Mack Hackel is a designer and illustrator based in Columbus, OH, who is passionate about editorial design, poster design, and motion graphics. She is currently entering her fourth and final year at the Columbus College of Art & Design, pursuing a degree in Advertising and Graphic Design.
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Mack's love for art was sparked by her father, who studied art and architecture. In high school, she discovered her affinity for graphic design through a beginner course, which quickly became a natural fit and solidified her creative path.
During her time at CCAD, Mack was hired at the college’s student agency, where she led the branding and execution for the end-of-year art show, Chroma. She also created an animated motion graphic for the college’s website and won a CSCA award for her short-form print design for Constellations.
